If Your Getting Botox Injections Then Go For It, if Not Then Don’t

Botox is used both for medicinal purposes and cosmetic ones. Originally it was used only for medical purposes. Muscular spasms, uncontrollable blinking and eye problems were treated using this injection. These conditions actually improve with the use of Botox which also tackles excessive sweating, excess salivating and other similar problems successfully.

Medically botox is used to cure muscular spasms, like blepharospasm (uncontrollable blinking); to treat crossed eyes (strabismus), and other eye muscle disorders, to control excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), neuromuscular disorders, very bad migraines and the like. Cosmetically it is used to retain or regain youthful appearance but you will want to view nutrition and treadmill reviews as possible alternatives first.

Botox can be used by anyone who does not have any allergic reactions to such medicines, who is in good health and does not use drugs in any form. Any person suffering from muscular problems or anyone who wishes to look young and graceful can undergo this procedure. Though cosmetically women use it to look young, men have also been using it. There have been cases where newborn babies have been administered botox on medical grounds and proved to be successful. A two and a half month old baby in Washington was suffering from Charge syndrome, which includes some birth defects in the heart, eyes, ears or salivary glands. This baby was suffering from overactive salivary glands, which can lead to engorgement in the lungs and other parts. The doctor used this injection on him and now, at two and a half years, the child is normal and healthy.

These skin care products are supposed to be good alternatives, but realistically speaking, there are no alternatives that can come close. Ever since the FDA passed the use of Botox in cosmetic surgery, it has ruled the roost and thousands of people are undergoing it. But there are a few who are scared of using the needle and the injection and would like to have another method for looking younger.

Natural ways of keeping fit and young can also be considered alternatives. It is the overall impression and feeling of youthfulness which can try to replace it. TV ads try to sell skin care products which can smoothen wrinkles and promise similar results without that much cost or effort. Anti aging skin products flood the market promising a lot of things. They do not give the expressionless like look which Botox can, if the injections are not given in the right place. These wrinkle creams declare that they reverse the wrinkles in a few minutes. They claim that they give the skin a lift to make it look younger. They carry fewer risks as compared to botox injections. These creams are labeled as ‘face lift in a jar’. They may not be a sure alternative but one can only try and see.
